DANCE BACKGROUND: I have mainly a Jazz background. I have also trained in modern, ballet, tap and hula (I even did high school cheerleading).
YEARS DANCING: I'm told that I started dancing since I learned how to walk. I have been belly dancing since 1997.
INTRODUCED TO MIDDLE EASTERN DANCE BY: I went with a neighbor to a class through UVSC (now UVU) continuing education.
FAVORITE STYLE OF BELLY DANCE: My favorite styles of belly dancing are Egyptian or cabaret.
STRENGTH: My greatest strength is being able to outwardly express the way the music makes me feel.
WEAKNESS: Zilling
EMBARRASSING MOMENT: One of my most embarrassing moments was when I lost my hip belt when I was pregnant and having to kick it off the stage.
FAVORITE PERFORMANCE: I love the Kismet festivals, and the Provo Freedom and Latin Festivals.
PASSION FOR DANCING: Once I hear the music I have to move - it's a creative outlet for me.
OCCUPATION WHEN NOT DANCING: I am a mommy to 5 cute kids.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS: I enjoy reading, traveling and scrap booking.
